Sometimes I find cool things on the internet, sign up for them, and forget to mention them to people. This is mostly because I do a lot of surfing a work (bad Cece) and I'll click on something, and then it passes out of my mind. I heard about Ravelry back in June (maybe when listening to Cast On?), didn't really know if it was going to be cool, signed up, and promptly forgot about it. Without telling my bloggy, knitty and 'real life friends'.
From now on, I'm going to keep a list of things that I see during that week that I think are cool, and do like a weekly 'cool things' link. To avoid pissing off friends. Because that is important. I love my friends. And I don't want to piss them off.
So - this week? Cool things are as follows:
Webs is sponsoring a bus trip to Rhinebeck. It's $55, leaving Northampton at 7:30 AM returning at 6:30 PM. It includes transportation, admission, light breakfast, a WEBS tote bag and a few extra goodies! Registration deadline is Sept 24th. I already signed up - because it just makes sense... if I don't have to drive, I can knit!
Blue Moon Fiber Arts has a new colorway - Oregon Red Clover Honey. I think it's a beautiful color (and happens to be on it's way to my house currently). And, their christmasy colorways are up - for those of you who like to knit Christmas presents.
Fuzzy Noodle Knits has been sewing up these really cute Stash and Dash bags. I called around to try and buy the pattern locally, but no one had it. So - I went onto Repro Depot to get it. And then, I saw these ridiculously cute Science Fiction buttons, a set of 5, on sale for $5. I totally had to get them for a baby sweater.
Think that's it for this week - any one else learn about any cool new things?
