The longer I looked at it - the more I couldn't stand it. The border was put there for a reason. So, I ripped back just that bit - since there is fringe that is broken off each row as you knit, it was actually easy. I just ripped back 14 stitches and only needed to knit on the piece that I messed up. The whole time I was doing it, I was saying 'DAMN I am SMART! And Aaron was looking at me like I was crazy. But I was SO glad I didn't need to rip back the whole thing. Now - you can see what the border was supposed to look like:
And here is the progress thus far:
I've actually made another error in the color changes, but I like my way better, so I'm keeping it. This is a fun, but slow, knit.
Today, I'm driving to Webs to hear Steph speak. I'm bringing one of my college roommates, and we are turning this into a road trip! Our 10th year college reunion is this weekend, so we are going to do a yarn crawl across western MA and upstate New York on our way to the reunion! So - I'll be offline for the rest of the week.
Don't miss me too much!

It was an honor to meet such a clever knitter.
