Summer Sock Party!

My package arrived from my summer sock party pal!

unfortunately, the cast off edge is too tight, and I can't get it over my heel. I need to do some work to fix that - but didn't she pick the perfect color! HOT PINK. I love it. And these are toe up socks, which I haven't done in a while.. so it'll be a fun challenge. Plus - toe up means an easy fix for the cast off edge issue.

Looks like Kate is going though a hard time... go over and say hi.

Sorry, CeCe! When you take out the cast off, I would try increasing one purl stitch in every purl column, then casting off. If that doesn't work, try an extended cast off (I don't remember exactly how to do it, but I'm sure you could find instructions if you Google. I was sure that there were instructions in one of the Yarn Harlot's books, but darned if I can find them)

Glad you liked the package. Did you notice that the Canadian flag pin lights up???

I was just at a wedding and they played Cecilia (it was on their party favor cd too) and thought of you - sang at the top of my lungs in honour of you (last time I remember this song was when they played it in some welsh pub we were at ages ago).

Latest issue of interweave has some unique cast off techinques in the lace section that might help! I love that yarn. Can you tell us more about the yarn? Please.

It's Dalegarn Falk, a worsted weight superwash. Don't know if it's available in the US or not...
