Glittens!

OK. I love mittens. I don't have much to say today for knitting content... but I was trolling around the internet, and found Glittens! I must make these. They look awesome.

But I will remember that I don't really NEED mittens until it gets a little colder, so I'll finish up my current projects first.

This morning I was digging through my wool handmade socks, and I realized that I was getting low. This is bad. Not really due to lack of socks, but more lack of clean laundry. I own a sock knitting machine - which when I first purchased I though I would be a one person sock making factory. Unfortunately... these machines were made in the early 1900's, and are rather difficult to use. Although I can make a decent sock out of it - it is frustrating for me! In comes my friend Elsie. Elsie is a wiz with the sock machine, and can hammer out a pair of socks in 20 minutes!

I worked out a trade. I'm going to send her some felting fleece (and sock yarn) and she will make me a bunch of new socks. Goodie!
