This weekend, I couldn't resist. I started the Latvian Mittens. I'm really sick of just plain garter stitch with that huge jacket sweater... I had to give myself a break! They are turning out neat.... not as difficult as I thought they would be.
I did finish a bunch of stuff that has been languishing in my yarn room, though. That gives me a nice sense of accomplishment:
1. Sewed together, put the buttons on, and got the coffee stain out of the Super Cute Baby Sweater! It's in FedEx as we speak, and will be in her hot little hands for her first birthday tomorrow.
2. Finally blocked out the bottom of the Wedding Jacket I made Aaron's Aunt Mary. She hosted our wedding way back in May at her house. As a thank you, I made her this awesome sweater from The Knit Stitch. When I gave it to her (in May) she loved it, but wanted the rolled up edges blocked down. I finally did that this weekend, and will give it back to her tonight. I'll try to get her to pose in it for a picture.
3. Sewed together the backing fabric for the duvet cover I made for Aaron and I. I also pinned it to the front, but am going to wait to do the official sewing together until this weekend. I'd like Karen's help, as I've spent so much time on this, I want it to be fabulous!
4. Finally cleaned out my fish tank! Those poor fish died about a month ago now, and I went to the fish store and got all this special stuff to prepare the tank for new fish. But haven't had time to clean out the old water. Now that's done, and I'll get new Fiber Fish on the drive home!
So - nothing else obvious sitting waiting for finishing... just half-way completed projects. Here is my list (in order of must complete)
1. Aaron's felted vest
2. Blueberry sweater
3. Latvian Mittens
4. Bpt Sweater
That's not too bad!
That is all to report - I'll get pictures up tonight!
