Finished Cape Point Cape!

So - I must admit, I didn't even attempt to finish my memory block from quilt class on Wed. I just worked on my Cape all weekend - and it's mostly finished! Finished enough to wear tomorrow on my business trip to Chicago! All it needs is the crocheted closure loops and buttons - which I'll have to go to the yarn store to get later. It turned out great!

On Friday, I called my sister in law, and my twin nieces are really wanting some ponchos! Since these are currently my knitting obsession, I got some yarn, and will bring that project with me on the plane to Chicago. I picked a really cute yarn ( muench tessin ) one will get Pink, the other Blue! It's fun to knit for kids.

Besides knitting, I went apple picking with my friends Sue, Anne and Amanda, and we came back to my house, and did some apple baking. That is becoming a fun yearly tradition - ending up with beef stew dinner and apple pie dessert.

Yum.

I'll probably be off-line until I get back from Chicago (Tuesday night) and hopefully I'll post pictures of both the finished cape, and the sweater that Amanda made me! It's beautiful (and also needs buttons, but also will be coming with me to Chicago - who can resist wearing new handknit things ASAP?).
