I finished something!

After all that talk about not having the energy to knit, this weekend it was all I did! It was a cold, rainy weekend - and Aaron was away. So, I sat in front of the fireplace, ate mac and cheese, watched TV, and knit.

Here is the first knitted item for the baby! The Fandango Fun Cardi from Northampton Wools book:

This is a nice, quick knit - and I've wanted to make it since I got this book. I used size 7 and 9 needles, and think it took me 4 hours total. It claims to be 6 - 12 month size.... but I don't think so. It's really little. I still need to get buttons - but what a great quick baby knit!

I also finished the first Monkey KawKaw, and started the second.... crazy stuff I tell you!

This is adorable! I'm so very, very, very happy for you! Have fun doing baby knitting--it's quite addictive. I loved how fast everything came off the needles. (Unfortunately, I got a baby allergic to wool, I'm sure yours will be much more cooperative!)

Congrats again!

Awwww...very cute, Cece! I just finished a baby sweater for a friend's baby. How exciting-the first baby knit! My kid got one sweater which he refused to wear but for one photo shoot. Quickly removed it once I had gotten the fourth shot!
