So. Christmas this year was a bit overwhelming. Aaron had asked me to make a 'pie-in-sky' list of things I wanted. So I did. And he pretty much filled the whole thing! I got gift certificates to my favorite yarn store, my favorite quilt store and for TWO hot rock massages. I also got 32 balls of Goddess yarn for the Tilted Jacket in the Winter IK. Thankfully, they had to special order the yarn, and it won't be in for a bit. This will allow me to obsess with finishing the Ribby Cardi and Bpt Cardi before it arrives. His brother Adam got me a kit that I wanted from Lincoln Farm Designs... and then I also got some PJ's I asked for, a needpoint kit, and a new speedo bathing suit.
After opening all the presents, I just sat there and looked around. That's just say that my fiber dreams were filled.
In knitting news, I gave Lexi her scarf on Christmas eve, and she absolutely loved it. I finished the scarf for Betsey on the way to visit her on Christmas day. She loved it, and I loved being done with it. I have pictures of both of these happy scarf 'getters' but haven't loaded them onto my computer yet.
I also finished the back, one side and half of the final front panel of the Ribby Cardi. I screwed up and forgot to switch to larger needles on the left front, but have decided to leave it that way and knit the other front with the smaller needle also. The size is still OK. I'll probably finish knitting the front tonight, and if it looks too small, I'll just rip it out and start again. It's a quick knit.
I'll try to post some pictures tonight, but tonight is Aaron's father's last night in the US before he heads back to China, so we'll be going out to dinner and celebrating a bit with him.
