Dreaming of a White Christmas

This weekend was so busy, I managed to run myself down. Aaron and I drove his father to the airport, went mall shopping, movie watching, house hunting, I finished a quilt, finished 8 fabric bowls for presents, did present wrapping, holiday card writing, and then packing everything up (including the very cute cardigan that Amanda and I made my nieces back in November) for shipping.

I sat down on Sunday afternoon at 2:30, drinking some caffeine to try and get rid of my headache so I could go to my friend Sue's cookie decorating party. It wasn't happening. I just knew that driving to her house, and then all the ruckus that ensues when my friends and I get together, my headache would get worse, not better.

Which sucks, because I was looking forward to the fun. But, once I settled myself down in the couch, and Aaron lit a fire in the fireplace, and I got my knitting out - I realized that I need some "Cece" time. And it was nice. I'm almost done with the sleeves of the Ribby Carti. I'm also 41 inches into that strange novelty yarn scarf for Aaron's mother - so that will surely be done by Christmas.

Plus, it's snowing. And I bought MORE Christmas lights for our front yard this weekend and put them up. Our yard is actually bordering on 'Over-the-Top'. Maybe by the end of the week (with all the 50% off Christmas decorations) I can get it all the way to "Over-the-Top" with the final goal of 'Obnoxious'.

Yes, all is good in Christmas land.
