I did an Ironman.

Almost exactly a year ago, I completed an Ironman Triathlon. It's a REALLY long race (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile run. And yes, all in the same day). Once I finished that race, I pretty much stopped working out. And gained 20 pounds. When ever I whine about being out of shape to my friends, they say - "But you did an Ironman!"

Yeah, I don't think that counts anymore.

Last night, Amanda and I got on our bikes and did a Spinerval DVD in her new fabu place. It was really hard. And the sad part is, the title of the DVD was "Recovery and Technique". But the funniest part was being able to wave at her neighbors who were looking through their living room window into Amanda's living room. They were looking at us like we were crazy.... which, I guess to people not into triathlons and that sort of jazz, riding your bike in your living room would seem a little strange!

I'll admit. It feels good to be working out again. I'm swimming 3 mornings a week, and we'll try to spin on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But it limits my knitting time!

Tonight I'm going to my quilt class. I'm looking forward to it, as I haven't been able to get myself to sit down and sew for over a month now. I'll bring my silk from China to show off, and also the top of the duvet. I want some advice before I start sewing that together!

No knitting progress. But I really need to finish putting together the Super Cute baby sweater - Addy's birthday is this weekend!
