Quilt class is usually lots of fun. I go, cut up some pretty fabric, gossip with the gals, and leave with two pretty blocks for my Star Sampler Wall hanging. Last night, something went awry. Perhaps all of the conference calls at work are numbing my brain. Maybe I'm distracted by the excitement of the China trip. I just couldn't get it last night! So frustrating. Karen finished her block first - and it was perfect! Then, Amanda - also fabulous! And Andrea - who had her 4 children with her at class - even managed to finish her block, and it is perfect.
Me, I barely even finished cutting mine out. Sigh.
This weekend, I shall conquer that block - I swear! And post pictures.
In good news, I finished both mittens. They aren't going to be the warmest mittens, but they sure will look cute with the matching hat. I still need to kitchner the top of one, and after that - I'll post the picture. I think that my next mittens are going to be something fancier... something along the lines of the masterpieces that the
Yarn Harlot creates.
That would involve a trip to the yarn store. *evil laugh*
