I've broken my own rule

After watching numerous knitterly friends go through a totally stressed out state (and doing the same thing to myself once or twice) I have made a rule that I will only knit for my husband for Christmas. I love making him sweaters, and this has made a fun tradition for us. This year, I even started his vest in July(!) to be sure I wasn't stressed out about it.

But, I now have 2 scarves that I want to have done for Christmas, and they are stressing me out. The 'Fun' scarf pictured below is for my mother-in-law. She was at the yarn store with me, and found this, and wants a scarf out of it. So, of course, I want to get it done by Christmas. And, Lexi, who I pulled in Aaron's family's Christmas Lottery - is getting that fun mohair scarf. Thing is, I already made her a poncho - so this is extra.

I have 11 days to get these done, and I'm sure I can manage. But the call of the Bpt sweater is getting strong! I have to force myself to work on the boring scarves until they are done.

So, in official knitting news, Aaron's vest is at the tailors. I'll have that back by Saturday! I'll make him model it for us when I get it back. I ripped out the 'Fun' scarf, and started a plain garter stitch... and it's looking best in plain garter. BORING!
