OK. I have a back log of projects in my head. And all of the knitting magazines that I get does not help this problem. In Interweave Knits this month, for example, I really love the Colorwork Classic sweater. Plus, I read a few blogs... and they point me to yarn sales! So, today I got some Peruvian Collection Highland Wool on elann.com for super cheap. I got enough for the Colorwork Classic sweater, and also for the Michael's Ribbed Guernsey.. This is one of the few things that Aaron has asked me for. He saw a sample of it hanging in a yarn store (Yes! He will go into a yarn store with me!).
Anyway - this yarn was $2.25 a ball. I struggled for a bit because the patterns I'm buying it for call for 21 and 22 stitches to the inch, and this yarn knits up at 19... but I knit so loose it is a big problem for me to get gauge. I decided that it should be ok.
When will I be able to knit these things? God only knows. But I couldn't resist the draw of the 50% off sale!
Last night I made a bit of progress on the Latvian Mitten...I'm loving it. I just hope it isn't too big. Check out the (blurry) picture below.
